Shrinking world

Got an email out of my owl postings, from Sweeden. Makes you think of how quickly we can reach out to the world. May make a new friend out of this. I get to start a Digital STudio course this week, basically a Photoshop course to improve photography. It look forward to improving this essential skill.

Today: owls

Lynne and I went out to see some snowy owls. We were not to be disappointed. We were heading for Ste-Rose, about 50 kms east of Ottawa, just north of the 417. We heard about a week ago of some snowies on Concession 20 road. A great big fat one was waiting for us right there.

We, I should say Lynne, spotted four more before we left. Also saw snow buntings, Cooper`s hawk, horned larks (the famous Alouettes sung around the world), mourning doves, starlings. Beats any afternoon in a mall.

Life is good.

... other type of dog ...

Saw a moondog as I drove my son to downtown tonight.
What is it with me and dogs ?
I am allergic to them !

Lucky dog

This cold winter morning in the world's second coldest capital city greeted me with a wonderful sundog, and a solar pillar this morning.

Life is good.
