Today: owls

Lynne and I went out to see some snowy owls. We were not to be disappointed. We were heading for Ste-Rose, about 50 kms east of Ottawa, just north of the 417. We heard about a week ago of some snowies on Concession 20 road. A great big fat one was waiting for us right there.

We, I should say Lynne, spotted four more before we left. Also saw snow buntings, Cooper`s hawk, horned larks (the famous Alouettes sung around the world), mourning doves, starlings. Beats any afternoon in a mall.

Life is good.
